Billy’s Top 10 Essentials for Male Skincare

Billy’s Top 10 Essentials for Male Skincare

Fashion Blogger, Model & ActorBilly Brayshaw

Having modelled from a young age, I quickly grew a passion for fashion which lead me down the path of Instagram. More recently I've delved into the acting world, with my TV debut due out later this year.

'For many people, skincare can be a vast minefield, there are so many products and brands out there, it’s easy to be overwhelmed. Everyone’s skincare needs are different, but below are some of the products that have worked well for me.

From cleaners, exfoliators, facemasks and serums, there are many ways I try to make my skin as healthy as possible. Every product I have listed is something I’ve benefitted from using, and seen great results from implementing into my skincare routine.'

As Billy said, starting a skincare regime can be hard and you may often find yourself asking what skincare is good for men? Honestly, there are no right or wrong answers, especially as skincare formulas are ever improving and becoming more inclusive than they used to be marketed.

Thanks to sites like Amazon and eBay, you can easily pick up a few things to keep your skin fresh, clear and revived. Skincare is there to be enjoyed, so we are happy to bring you this great curation from Billy, where you will certainly find something that piques your interest.

Billy Brayshaw's mybest Summary

Everyone's skin is different and therefore has different needs. Personally, I have combination skin which is a mixture of oily and dry, I also find my skin can be quite sensitive depending on the environment and weather I am in.

All these things influence the products I use, and I'm forever adapting my routine to best suit my needs. The best advice that I can give is to keep trying different products, whether you're worried about ageing, acne, pigmentation, pores and many more - you will find a routine that works for you eventually.

  • Top 10 Best Sunscreens for Black Skin in the UK 2021
Top 10 Best Sunscreens for Black Skin in the UK 2021
One of the biggest, and potentially the most dangerous, beauty myths out there is that darker skin tones don't require daily sunscreen. The truth is that black skin naturally only has around SPF 13, which definitely isn't enough to offer complete protection - even if you live in a part of the UK that doesn't see much sun! Anyone, regardless of their ethnicity, can get skin cancer and it can often be diagnosed at a later stage in black people due to this myth.Aside from avoiding the big C, there are other reasons that those with darker skin should wear a product with SPF protection - ageing, dryness, and skin pigmentation are all issues that a good sunscreen can help to prevent. Whether you're looking for a cream with mineral filters or a serum with chemical ingredients, our top 10 list of products to buy from Amazon, eBay, John Lewis, and Boots has got you covered - and none of our picks will leave a white cast!
